Policy for Individual Awards:
- In Novice committees, Best Delegate, Outstanding, and Commendation Awards will be given to delegates based on their quantified performance in debate.
- In Advanced committees, Best Delegate (Gavel), Outstanding, and Commendation Awards will be given as well, based on delegates' quantified performance in debate, too.
Working paper submissions are required for delegates to be eligible for the Individual Awards offered in both Advanced and Novice committees. These working papers are due by the 15th of November to be considered for finalized dockets. Delegates who submit resolutions late will be able to receive Individual Awards, and will still receive feedback on their work.
Delegates, regardless of the status of their submission, should bring physical copies of their original work to the first session of debate, as well as a copy of the finalized docket for ease of annotation and work in debate.
Delegates will be scored on a points system with a possible 5 points per comment, 10 points per speech, and 5 points per unmoderated caucusing. Maximum points will be allocated to delegates that use their speaking time, both formal and informal, to showcase accurate policy knowledge and original, pragmatic solutions.
